Maligano Jasper is the name given to a new brecciated Jasper variation discovered in Indonesia between 2011 and 2012. The name derives from a little hamlet on the island of Sulawesi where it was discovered (part of the four Greater Sunda Islands). It's made up of a variety of Jasper colors (blue, red, orange, yellow, gray, and beige) with veins of grayish-silver Agate filling the holes. This stone has yet to "take off" on the market at the time of this writing (July 2020). Many people in the geology and crystal communities have never heard of this new Jasper before.
